| Short Biography | I am a Research Software Engineer at Newcastle University, with a background in game development and data visualisation. Currently, I'm a Trustee and Vice-President of the RSE Society, having previously been on the organising committee for the RSE Conference in 2022 and 2023. My aim for the fellowship is to continue the conversation around mental health in our community and to try and provide RSEs - and others working in similar fields - with information to support self-care and life-work balance, as well as access to events, initiatives and resources that help individuals support their own mental health, and for managers to support the mental health of their teams. I've talked/written about mental health a few times, not least in a series of blog posts on my website about how I became a father for the first time during lockdown in 2020. |
