Short Biography |
I am professor of computational modelling, and development of
software for science is a key activity. I research methods of
producing more sustainable computational software, and provide a
number of training activities to support this. This includes
development of undergraduate, Masters and Doctoral training courses
on programming, computational modelling and software engineering for
computational science.
My work splits into two areas: (i) I develop and use simulation
software to advance science and engineering (mostly in nanomagnetism
but also superconductivity, chemistry, astrophysics and
engineering). (ii) I research the methodology of research
computation, which includes software engineering for sustainable
research software. |
