Interests | Making digital platforms accessible to a wider audience through user experience, user interface design and good web practices. I'm interested in how designers define their responsibilities within RSE contexts and how teams can improve collaboration across different roles. |
Short Biography | I was born professionally as graphic designer and art director in the traditional media, but moved to web communication few years in. I then covered the role of Senior Research Software UI/UX Designer at King's Digital Lab, King's College London for almost ten years, worked mainly on Digital Humanities and the wider Arts&Humanities research projects, but also Cultural Heritage, Social Sciences and occasionally with Mathematics and Informatics. I left in 2023 to join PRODA, a software development company in the commercial world. I am the Lead UX Designer there and my work revolves around making the app and other satellite products better for our users. Creating reusable and sustainable processes is part of my main duties now. I also contribute actively to UX research and UI design. Occasionally I still design interactive data visualisations, search dashboards and more. |
