I develop measurement instrumentation in the electrical domain, this often includes programmable hardware logic or application specific silicon devices using the Verilog or VHDL hardware description languages. Many of the systems require embedded software working remotely from the user, often in harsh industrial environments or where computer resources are low. This is often written in C or C++ variants for that particular command set. User control of these systems often uses Python or Java communicating with Ethernet or USB. Once we have data, analysis tends to be implemented using Matlab however I have previously used Python for data statistical analysis. |
