My research interests are in the areas of data modelling, machine learning in Python, knowledge representation, visualisation, and Collections as Data (CAD). I am interested in how we can facilitate reuse of datasets and research software in Digital Humanities. Moreover, I love working with data and am passionate about empowering women and community building.

I am a PhD candidate at University College London (UCL) and my PhD is part of a collaborative project between the British Museum and UCL funded by the Leverhulme Trust. My research focuses on computational interrogation of the Early Modern manuscript catalogues that have been modelled and encoded in XML. One of my research outputs is to leverage the mark-up of these catalogues to derive new computational outputs that are amenable to subsequent data analysis. My research aims to provide a critical analysis of data modelling and its potential impact on future data-driven research by approaching it from a collections-as-data perspective.

Alongside my PhD I teach part-time at UCL and lead the learning and teaching team for ‘She Loves Data’ in EMEA region as a volunteer. I am also a member of the first cohort of PyData Global Impact Program.
