In my research, I model explosions on neutron stars. There have been many observations of these explosions (or 'Type I X-ray bursts'), however the physics behind them is poorly understood. In my work, I am looking at the effects of strong gravity on the surface of the neutron stars. To do this, I generate simulations, both using community codes and by developing my own codes.
