| Short Biography |
I am a research software engineer working in gravitational wave physics (databases/web services). Previously, my work was in genomics/computational/mathematical biology. I have a particular interest in developing applications for distributed systems & large scientific collaborations. Usually, my work takes place at the interface between software and computational infrastructure. I have made contributions within The Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory (LIGO) collaboration, the COVID-19 Genomics UK Consortium (COG-UK), and the Cloud Infrastructure for Microbial Bioinformatics (CLIMB). I have also worked outside of academia, for organisations such as NHS Wales. |
